The real butterfly wings come from the "Just Me and My Monarchs," in Houston, Texas. There they raise them from larva and have wonderful educational exibits. When they die of natural causes we buy them to make our lovely arrangements.
We have tried to capture the elegance of the butterflies in an artistic arrangement that creates a keep-sake to stir both the love and the memory of the butterflies for years to come.
General Pressed Flower Information
All our arrangements are created with real pressed flowers and greenery, and all of the flowers are hand dyed to prevent fading even when windows are exposed to sunlight.
Then the arrangements are placed between 2 pieces of leaded beveled glass.
Windows we refer to as "Plain Windows" have a simple thin silver finish border, and those referred to as "Decorative Solder Windows" have a hand beaded deep relief border. Note that not all windows are available in both borders. All the metal finishes are waxed to maintain brilliance.
